Video for SEO Consultants & Coaches
What have you heard about SEO lately? Has it been tested and
measured? Can it be proven? Only truth can be measured, the
rest is conjecture and theory.
Finally there's OptiSmarts by Leslie Rohde, the leading mind
in SEO. Hard science from a engineering perspective. As
Leslie says, "If it can't be measured, it's not fact."
Watch over Leslie's shoulder as we're treated to 30 minutes
of fresh video every week. OptiSmarts debunks SEO myths and
shows for a fact, how the search engines really work.

INTERNET MARKETING NEWS
Get More Clicks on Your AdSense Ads
Jay Young - the wizard behind smArticle Templates - had
another stroke of genius. A good way to get more clicks on
your ads, is to have them appear in graphics. Sure enough,
testing backs up the theory.
Now you can get rid of the ugly old ads and dress them
up. You get over 100 graphics like postcards, clipboards,
fabric, frames, bags, sticky notes and memo clips.
Now... before you go saying it's against Google's TOS. It's
clearly not. There's no blinking arrows or signs saying how
and where to click. In fact, here's proof direct from the
Google AdSense Team:
"Regarding your question about decorative backgrounds.
The individual ad implementations you've proposed appear
to be compliant with our program policies."
This is a totally unique product and the first one of its
kind. Your ads don't have to LOOK like ads anymore.
Your ads can be fun things that entice clicks, like sticky
notes and things to do on a clipboard. If your AdSense
revenues have been falling, then this may be the perfect
remedy for your woes.
Not only that, it also comes with eight additional bonuses
like header graphics, a Google Sitemap maker, Photoshop
Action Pak, EBook Cover Pro, and a coupon for 60% off
custom design work. This is clearly one of the best deals
of the year.

World's First Billing Assurance Software
Remember Brent Winters? He's the guy that founded
WebPosition Gold. After selling WPG a couple of years
back, Brent's been busy creating SureTime, which is
about to revolutionize all your time tracking & billing tasks.
SureTime is great for anyone that has clients or employees.
It simplifies time keeping. Improves productivity. And
reduces fraud and billing errors.
It builds a verifiable audit trail of all activity to each
billing, whether it's coming from an on-site employee,
work-at-home telecommuter, or an off-site contractor.
It can be used for enterprise reporting, shop data collection
by employees and by independent professionals,
SureTime provides innovative auto-billing and real-time
record keeping features that save time, while helping you
simplify a busy workday. It even remembers when you've
taken a break to improve billing accuracy.
Just like Brent's WebPosition Gold which revolutionized the
SEO industry, SureTime is set to become the standard in time
tracking and billing. If you have clients, or employees, you'll
love this software.

Smart Talk is Music to My Ears
I like listening to really smart people. If you've ever had
the chance to listen to Leslie Rohde, you know what I mean.
He's so educated and has the practical know-how to back it
all up. He'll take your mind for spin and lay everything on
the line, with no holds barred and perfect clarity.
Just recently on his OptiSmarts blog he featured, "How
the Web Works." It was like a technical education by an
engineer, for non-engineers. It detailed how browsers,
servers, and HTTP interact with humans and search spiders.
It spelled out what SEO theories make sense and which ones
are not possible.
Plus I'm really looking forward to this one... Optimizing
Reciprocal Linking. It's going to be a two hour seminar, on
how to optimize your reciprocal linking, so that you get the
most while (ethically) giving the least.
Leslie's OptiSmarts Blog ==> http://www.cdzn.com/os
I also like listening to Buzz Out Loud podcast with Tom
Merritt and Molly Wood. They're both exceptionally bright.
They'll make you think and give you great ideas. It's fresh,
topical and daily for your thirsty ears.
Buzz Out Loud ==> http://podcast.cnet.com
Then there's Jared Spool the user interface expert. There's
a whole new series of audio called SpoolCasts. Step right up
and download all you want... then get ready for a real brain
feast of knowledge.

Exclusive Articles Written Just For You
This "Article Writing" service came to me a couple of months
back. But before I could recommend the service, I wanted to
get some feedback from people that actually used it. So far
the comments have been very favorable.
I don't get a penny for endorsing it, but that's not what's
important. What IS important, is that you find out about
this service and decide if its right for you or not.
The articles are exclusive, so there's no worries about dupe
content. Yep, you read that right... the articles are posted
and used one time only, not by hundreds of people on
numerous sites.
So what's the catch? You must publish the article in
it's entirety, leaving all links "as is" and clickable. Not
hidden behind redirect scripts or "nofollow" attributes.
Only a "direct link" is acceptable.
So if you need content related to Business, Electronics,
Fashion, Apparel, Fitness, Health, House n' Home, Outdoors,
Pets or Weddings, then this service may be just what you're
looking for.
Article Writing Service ==> http://www.1st-4-articles.com
Remember, the key to having a top website is to make sure
you have great content. And that's exactly what this service
provides.

A few weeks back Paul Smithson gave a wonderful gift to
the internet marketing community. It's software called
"XMail Write" to help you write newsletters, articles and
even email, that have a better chance of making it through
the spam filters and being read.
XMail hard wraps the text. Checks your message against
900 spam flags. Includes readability analysis, detailed stats,

Article Underground Exclusive
The Underground is officially closed to the public, but what
about the handful of people that leave the membership each
month? Can their spots be filled?
It took a little arm twisting... ok, more like begging
and pleading, to get a "trickle page" set up to keep the
membership topped up. The amount of memberships
available will always correspond to the number of open
spots. Last time I looked, it was 14.
So not only do 14 lucky people get to join the Underground
this month, it's exclusive to this newsletter and one other
marketer. Thank you to Mike Liebner for letting me have this
little exclusive, to help top up his membership, and to help
out my readers at the same time.

Rumor Mill has Google Base set to Launch 4Q
Slowly and quietly under the radar... is Google ready to
integrate Base results into their main search results? Looks
like it.
Seems as though no one was using Froogle. So rumor has
it, that Google needed a way to integrate everyone's eBay
auctions, Amazon zShops, Yahoo Stores and other products
into their search. The answer is called the Google Base
Store Connector.
According to Google, "This utility will help online sellers
drive more traffic to items without the trouble of manually
re-entering inventory on Google Base." In other words, it's
an API that you can use to get your products listed on
Google, just in time for the fourth quarter holiday season.
Here's what Google has to say about Google Base, "Post it on
Base. Find it on Google. Google Base is a place where you
can post all types of content and have it show up on Google."
Official Google Base blog ==> http://googlebase.blogspot.com/
Or if you want to start posting items one at a time, you can
start right away. All you need is your Google ID, which can
be the same as your AdWords account.

High Rank Directories Adds SEO Services
Now the High Rank Directories (HRD) are way more than

continued to add SEO tools and whitepapers to their resource
library. Plus they've added SEO and directory submission services.
So if you've been looking to farm-out your SEO to an honest
and reliable bunch, then CATDynamics, the people behind
HRD, may be just what you're looking for. In addition to SEO
services, they also offer directory and RSS submissions for

The Future of Search Engine Optimization
Colin McDougall can get ANY website of his choice to blast
past the other top ranking websites and achieve top 10
position within a short time. And it's a completely legit
system as opposed to trying to trick the search engines.
In VEO you don't play against the search engine algo,
you ignore it completely. You don't focus on keyword
densities, you aim for a happy visitor. You don't hard sell
products like an affiliate, you brand a site and sell the
products through articles. It's revolutionary. And it works.

These ARE the Good Old Days of Yore... and Lore
Question: Hi Michael, have you seen the StomperNet course?
Good grief, it's an amazing amount of material. Certainly
nothing like the streamlined stuff you have on your blogs.
I guess we can all forget the days of yore, when a beginner
could count on getting in, and making a full-time living
working part-time (if he stayed concentrated). This is
full-time stuff! It scares the heck out of me! Imagine the
learning curve involved!
Answer: Hello Sam, yes it is a big box of stuff. Chances
are, most people would never work through it all. That's why
Brand and Andy included a mentoring program. So it's not
just a ten pound box that lands on your doorstep. You get
their personal assistance the entire time.
I think the "days of yore" are still here. It doesn't have
to be complicated. People like my friend Colin McDougall,
can work part time and receive a full time income.
Colin set up a brand new website in a very competitive
category, and it now sits at the top of the search engines.
It only took a few months and he shares exactly how he did
it in his ebook.
Colin's VEO eBook ==> http://www.cdzn.com/veo
Another good friend of mine Jim Morris, set up a site and it
went to the top of the search engines. His methodology and
topic is different than Colin's, but the process is really
simple. He wrote all about it in his free TND report.
Total Niche Domination ==> http://www.cdzn.com/tnd
Then there's Dr. Andy Williams newsletter. He ran a series
for a few months on how to set up affiliate revenue sites
from scratch. His "Creating Fat Affiliate Sites" is some of
the best work on the topic and you can pick it up when you
subscribe to his newsletter. Just go to the blog and look
for the subscription link down the right hand side.
Dr. Andy's Blog ==> http://www.cdzn.com/awb
As you mentioned, concentration is key. So is focus and
minimizing distractions. But regardless of how many
"systems" there are... if they seem overly complicated,
leave them for the experienced webmasters. What you need
to do is stick to the basics just like Dr. Andy, Colin and Jim.
Speaking of basics, that reminds me... Jerry West is in the
middle of running a series called 30 days to success. He's
taking us through every step from researching a niche
(hydroponics), to setting up servers, getting the design
work and announcing the site. (Jerry also wrote about the
"Death of AdSense" which was the most logical and
comprehensive take on the topic that I've read to date.)
Jerry's SEO Revolution ==> http://www.cdzn.com/jwr
Or if you prefer the company of like-minded individuals,
there is a mastermind group in the Keyword Avalanche. Right
now they are closed, but they will be relaunching on October 10
2006. You can go to their site and sign up for the announcement.
Keyword Avalanche ==> http://www.cdzn.com/ka
The Avalanche has grown exponentially since its inception as
a keyword service. Now they have thousands of helpful posts
on every possible SEO and marketing related topic.
But something that most people overlook are the hundreds of
training videos. If there's a process that baffles you, say like,
"how to FTP web pages to your server" there's a video for that.
Then if you still have trouble, you can ask questions in the forum
and get answers, usually within hours.
Speaking of "helpful answers" I'll soon be releasing my very
own Clickin it Rich and Revenge of the Mininet courses to
the public, under a creative commons license. Which means
they'll basically be freeware.
What I would encourage you to do, is to work through these
courses. Then take action by applying what you've learned
from them. (The mininet is a very successful model, that you
can apply to your own business. And yes, you can work at it
part time, without investing a whole lot of coin.)
Then once you have a couple of websites or mininets set up,
and you want to take it to the next level, start looking at
other "advanced" courses, systems and methodologies. Go
ahead and apply them to your business, only if it makes
sense for you to do so.
But chances are, once you've tried affiliate programs,
just like Colin, Jim, Jerry and Andy, you'll probably want
to ignore all the fads and short term tactics. You'll be able
to "drown out the noise" of "the next big thing" with the
power of concentration and focus.
For when all is said and done, affiliate revenue still
rules, always has, and will always be there, this year,
next year, and into the foreseeable future.
So enjoy these "days of yore" and realize the internet is
still a teenager, a work in progress, and yes there's room
for everyone to be successful. It's the "American Dream"
of freedom and opportunity, that can be had by anyone,
in any country, regardless of race or creed.
All it takes is for you to make a single decision. Decide to
get into action, to make the change in your life. Then get
busy. Make your list of things to accomplish and focus on
those objectives. And don't forget to to reward yourself at
every milestone in recognition of your achievements.
Are you ready to get going? Good! Because as Confucius
once said, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a
single step." So pick your path, get your shoes on, and
lets get going shall we?
